In Between

From the Artists: When first meeting in graduate school, we immediately saw parallels in our work. As we developed our respective practices, and now share a living space together, we continue to observe the intersections between the worlds we create with paint. Our work often deals with similar themes such as connection and the subconscious however the approach to process and storytelling differ. Luke generates wild scenes improvisationally and with untamable energy while Antonia, inspired by a rich interior world, methodically constructs complex compositions with charged symbols. Side by side, these paintings create a sense of unease, playfulness, and contemplation shedding new light on our distinct visions.
