Under the fractured light of the disco ball, Meatball stands unwavering—a towering blonde crown glows to seize the adoration of her drunken subjects. The other queens fade into shadow, eyes locked on her, the undeniable boss of this stage, this midnight kingdom. Born from the grip of Texas church pews, she no longer hides her shame in the shadows of dark sanctuary corners but wears it as proudly as the hair on her chest. She is queen and court jester, she makes the rules. Meatball doesn’t just take the stage; she owns it, carving space with equal parts glamour and raw, ruthless power that all will respect.
 
SERIES DESCRIPTION: 
TRANSPLANTS is an exploration of queer and trans drag performers who have uprooted themselves from conservative red-state origins in search of liberation, community, and creative expression. Through vivid portraits and layered storytelling, each image captures the resilience, reinvention, and radical self-possession of queer people who have traded the confines of their pasts for the possibility of becoming something new, something stronger. TRANSPLANTS is not just about geographic migration—it’s about shedding imposed identities, severing ties with inherited shame, and learning to inhabit the space between, where transformation can finally take root.
