Emily Wilson Gillespie

Emily Wilson Gillespie is a visual artist working and living in Bloomington, IN. She received her BA in Studio Art from DePauw University and her MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University. In 2014, Emily completed the Efroymson Arts Fellowship and in 2018 she was awarded an Individual Advancement Program Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission.

Emily Wilson Gillespie's current paintings showcase bold and playful abstracted landscapes. Her watercolors explore and celebrate Indiana's rural landscapes by combining playful shapes, bright watercolors, and native plant dyes. Her spirited compositions display the fresh, vibrant nature of Indiana's sprawling fields, rolling hills, and beautiful forested trails.
